What is VirtCert.com? What does it do?
VirtCert.com is a system that lets you add a Diamond Search Engine to your existing web site without having to do any programming.
What does it do for me?
- No Inventory Management - You don't have to manage your inventory - your wholesalers do it all.
- No Faxing Certificates - You don't have to request or upload certificates - your wholesalers do it all.
- Price Controls - You can easily change your markups - all online and instantly effective.
- No Programming - You don't have to do any programming - just make one small change to your web site to activate it.
- Increase sales by showing web site visitors all they need to know online - even certificates, reports and photographs - they don't leave your site because you don't have enough information available for them.
- Invisible - it blends seamlessly into your web site.
- Flexible - Use one or many wholesalers, turn them on or off at will, set different markups for different wholesalers (if desired)
- New features - we are always adding new features to ensure that you have the most effective sales and marketing tool available
- Superior Support - We respond to all questions, feature requests, and support calls. Almost all issues resolved the same day.
- Fixed Flat Rates - We charge a single small monthly fee (US$90.00) that covers all of our services for your account.

- No Hassles - Our system was designed so that once you set it up, you don't have to do anything else. It just keeps on working for you with no intervention required. All you have to do is respond to email and phone call orders.
Is VirtCert just another Listing Service?
Absolutely Not! We offer a completely different approach to selling diamonds online from any other company out there.
Until now, there have been two kinds of diamond services, brokers and listing services.

Brokers try to sell the diamonds themselves and take a commission of each sale. In addition, they act as middlemen, separating the customer from the person selling the diamond. We do the opposite. We don't charge any commissions, and we try to bring the wholesaler, retailer and consumer together to reduce overhead costs and establish good relationships so that the consumer will come back with repeat business.

Listing Services let any member post lists of their inventory for sale, and any other member can see the stones listed, whether you want them to see yours or not. There is no control over who can see you inventory. There is also no price control. You upload you inventory with a certain price, and everybody in the world on that service sees the same price.

VirtCert is different. We let you control what companies you deal with. In order to do business, both wholesaler and retailer approve each other. After that, we let you list the wholesaler's inventory directly on your web site through our custom diamond search engine. Whenever the wholesaler updates their inventory, it will be instantly updated on your web site, too.

In addition, you can have multiple wholesalers' inventory on a single retailer's search engine. This way, you are not locked into a single company's proprietary search engine. You can pick and choose what inventory to carry on your site at any time.

Also, we provide a powerful markup manager to let you control your pricing. You can set different markups for different wholesalers, and customize your pricing with over thirty price ranges which can each have their own markups. In short, we provide you with total control
What if I don't like it? Can I cancel service?
So far, the only "complaints" we've had have been requests for new features, most of which we've added within a day or two. However, if you decide that our service isn't right for you, you can cancel your membership at any time with no penalty. If you cancel within the first 30 days, we will refund your all your dues. After 30 days, if you cancel we will refund your pro-rated dues immediately. So far, we haven't had to issue any credits yet...
Can I "hide" VirtCert?
Yes. VirtCert was designed to blend seamlessly into your web site. If desired, it can be set up so that there is no mention of VirtCert anywhere in your site, either on the screens, in the HTML source code, or by "hacking" the actual VirtCert server to try and find out what company it is coming from. As far as anyone will be able to tell, it is all running on your web site. For technical details, contact support@virtcert.com for more information.
How do I sign up with Wholesalers?
It takes just a few clicks. Click on the Retailer Tools menu, click on Authorize Wholesalers, pick the wholesaler you wish to do business with, and Click Request. As soon as you do this, VirtCert will automatically send an email to that wholesaler informing them that you wish to carry their inventory. They can then go into VirtCert themselves, get your contact information, and make the decision to give you access. As soon as they approve you, you will receive an automatic email back from them letting you know, and their inventory will be immediately available through your web site.

Can I upload my own Inventory?
Yes. Just send us an ASCII file and tell us what the field order is, and we'll set you up to upload your own inventory for your web site. You can even make your inventory available to other members if desired. It only takes a few clicks to upload your file, and it is installed and listed in your web site immediately. We even provide a robust error-checking system to make sure that your data file is complete and does not have any errors in it.

Why is VirtCert better than building it myself?
- Cost:
  - Do-It-Yourself: It will cost you thousands of dollars to hire a programmer to build you anything with the power, flexibility and reliability you get with VirtCert. If you want to upgrade or add new features, it will probably cost you thousands of dollars more each time.
  - VirtCert: Costs just $90 / month, which includes everything we offer. All Upgrades are Free.
- Speed:
  - Do-It-Yourself: It will probably take weeks, probably months, to have a custom search engine created for you. And then you will have to get all the bugs out of it (and there are always bugs in new programs).
  - VirtCert: We can have your site up and running in a few hours.
- Service:
  - Do-It-Yourself: Depending on who does your programming and how busy they are, or if they are even still in business, you don't know what kind of service you can expect.
