What is VirtCert.com? What does it do?
It is hard to describe what VirtCert does in a short blurb.

Basically, it takes the tasks that you do over-and-over again every day and lets you do it ONCE and be done with it. Faxing, emailing and mailing inventory lists, faxing certificates, answering questions about measurements and cut, and other routine calls can be eliminated by loading the information on our system. From then on, the system will provide the information to the consumers for you, giving you more time to devote to increasing sales and wasting less time with administrative tasks.

VirtCert.com is a system that lets you add a Diamond Search Engine to your existing web site without having to do any programming or be a computer expert.

VirtCert.com lets your retail jewelers display your inventory in their own web sites as if it was sitting in their vault, and lets them show complete information about each stone to increase the percentages of closed sales by visitors to their web sites.
What does VirtCert.com do for me?
The key to selling diamonds is to get them in front of the consumers who want to buy them.

VirtCert does this by putting your inventory directly into the web sites of your retail jewelers. It automatically manages getting your updated information everywhere it needs to go in order to effectively sell your goods. You can have your inventory distributed to any member of our service that you choose, and you have complete control over who can see your goods and who can not.

In short, VirtCert.com increases your ability to sell diamonds while reducing the amount of cost and work involved in the sales process.

What can I do with VirtCert?
- Sell your diamonds to the Trade through a password-protected Diamond Search Engine that is only available to your customers.
- Sell your diamonds to the Public through a publicly-accessable Diamond Search Engine on your web site.
- Sell your diamonds through your authorized retailers, who sell them to the public through the retailers' web sites.
- ... or any combination of these features.
Do I need to know a lot about computers to use VirtCert?
No. VirtCert was designed to be used by people who are not computer "experts". If you can manage to turn your computer on and get on the Internet, you know enough to use VirtCert. Any technical issues that arise we can either do for you or give you a step-by-step guide on how to do it.
How is VirtCert.com different from Diamonds.net™ or Polygon.net™?
Diamonds.net™ and Polygon.net™ provide a central database where all the wholesalers can list their diamonds for sale, and all the retailers can search the listings for when they need to find certain goods.. This is an efficient solution for when you are looking for a particular type of diamond. These sites are limited to the Trade only, and consumers do not have access to this information.

VirtCert.com takes your inventory data one step further - To the Consumer that will actually buy it. When you upload your inventory to VirtCert, it automatically appears in the web sites of your Authorized retailers, along with the Certificates, Sarin, BrillianceScope and/or Photographs for each diamond. If you update your inventory or upload new images, they are automatically and instantly updated in all your retailers' web sites. To the consumer who is looking at the retailer's web site, it will all appear to be their inventory.

You have complete control over which retailers can sell your goods though our security system. With a few simple mouse clicks, you can choose to have your inventory appear in a retailer's web site.

VirtCert allows you more control over your goods, while requiring less work to sell them through your retail channels.
How is VirtCert.com different from diamond brokerages ?
VirtCert does not buy or sell diamonds directly. We provide the tools for others to buy and sell them.

Brokerages typically charge a transaction fee or a commission for goods that are sold through them. As a result, the more you sell, the more it costs you to use them. Additionally, brokerages can isolate you from your clientelle, acting in the middle between you and your buyer. They are motivated to keep themselves "in the loop" in order to continue to make their commissions.

VirtCert's goal is to bring you and your buyers together and encourage the business relationship. We do not charge any commissions, and do not compete with you for the buyer's business. We make it easier for you to do business with your customers, while staying out of the way when you actually conduct your transactions.

What if I don't like it? Can I cancel service?
You can cancel at any time. So far, the only "complaints" we've had have been requests for new features, most of which we've added within a day or two. However, if you decide that our service isn't right for you, you can cancel your membership at any time with no penalty. If you cancel within the first 30 days, we will refund your all your dues. After 30 days, if you cancel we will refund your pro-rated dues immediately. So far, we haven't had to issue any credits yet...
How do I sign up new Retailers?
It takes just a few clicks. Click on the Wholesaler Tools menu, click on Authorize Retailers, pick the retailer you wish to do business with, and Click Approve. As soon as you do this, VirtCert will automatically send an email to that retailer informing them that you want them to carry your inventory. They can then go into VirtCert themselves, get your contact information, and make the decision to sell your inventory through their web site. As soon as they approve you, you will receive an automatic email back from them letting you know, and your inventory will be immediately available through their web site.

How do I upload my Inventory?
Just send us an ASCII Text file and tell us what the field order is, and we'll set you up to upload your own inventory for your web site. It only takes a few clicks to upload your file, and it is installed and updated everywhere immediately. We even provide a robust error-checking system to make sure that your data file is complete and does not have any errors in it.

Why is VirtCert better than building it myself?
- Cost:
  - Do-It-Yourself: It will cost you thousands of dollars to hire a programmer to build you anything with the power, flexibility and reliability you get with VirtCert. If you want to upgrade or add new features, it will probably cost you thousands of dollars more each time.
  - VirtCert: Costs just $90 / month, which includes everything we offer. All Upgrades are Free.
- Speed:
  - Do-It-Yourself: It will probably take weeks, probably months, to have a custom search engine created for you. And then you will have to get all the bugs out of it (and there are always bugs in new programs).
